Saturday Math Clubs


During the school year we offer Saturday Math Classes for students in Grades 2 - 8.

Classes are divided into 4 categories:

  • Inspiring Math Minds (Grades 2 - 5): This program is designed to help students in Grades 2 - 5 build their confidence and skills with Mathematics. The course assists these students, through hands-on, fun-filled activities, build their strength and confidence with the subject and helps inspire them to experience the subject more fully.
  • Enriching Math Minds (Grades 2 - 5): This program is designed to challenge students in Grades 2 - 5 and to enrich their already strong skills in mathematics. The course is designed to challenge these students, through hands-on, fun-filled activities and to test their math skills through challenging problems and concepts.
  • Inspiring Math Minds (Grades 6 - 8): This program is designed to help students in Grades 6 - 8 build their confidence and skills with Mathematics. The course assists these students, through hands-on, fun-filled activities, build their strength and confidence with the subject and helps inspire them to experience the subject more fully.
  • Enriching Math Minds (Grades 6 - 8): This program is designed to challenge students in Grades 6 - 8 and to enrich their already strong skills in mathematics. The course is designed to challenge these students, through hands-on, fun-filled activities and to test their math skills through challenging problems and concepts.

Parents will choose which program they feel will meet their child's needs, however, we do allow for changing classes until the 3rd week of the program should you feel the level chosen is not appropriate.

Our next program will run from Saturday, April 22 to Saturday, June 10, 2017

Sessions will start at 10 AM and go until 1 PM with a break. Snacks are provided.

Cost

The cost of the program is $299 for the 8 weeks. Bursaries applications are available on our Bursary Application page.

Location

All sessions will take place at the downtown campus of the University of Toronto

Math Contest Clubs


These classes are designed to help students interested in writing various math competitions and will pull from a variety of resources. Topics will include general problem solving techniques and skills, geometry questions, probability and logic questions and other types of questions typically found on the most popular math contests and competitions.

Classes will be divided into 5 groups based on the following grade levels:

  • Grades 1 - 2
  • Grades 3 - 4
  • Grades 5 - 6
  • Grades 7 - 8
  • Grades 9 - 12

    Our next program will run from Saturday, January 21 to Saturday, February 25, 2016

    Girls in STEM Monthly Club


    *** Please note this program is FULL for the 2016 year ***

    Due to the success of our annual conference we are pleased to announce the Girls in STEM Monthly Club

    This club is open to girls in grades 6 - 9. It meets on the first Saturday of every month starting on October 1st, 2016 and ending with the Girls in STEM Conference on May 6th, 2017. Students enrolled in this program will have monthly workshops and seminars that will engage them in various topics in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

    Workshops will be lead by female members of various departments throughout the year and most will have a hands-on component to them. The materials covered in the class will be seperate from standard school curriculum and pre-requisite knowledge is not required.

    For students wishing to take part in both the Fall/Spring Saturday Math Clubs and this program a discount code can be provided for the overlapping classes (please contact us prior to registering to inquire).

    Schedule

    The exact dates are: Oct 1, Nov 5, Dec 3, Jan 7, Feb 4, Mar 4 and Apr 1 (with the conference on May 6).
