High School Math Preparation Program
The High School Math Preparation Program is aimed at students in grades 8 - 10 who are lagging behind the rest of the class in mathematics, but otherwise have demonstrated an ability to learn at grade level in other courses. The intent is to provide students with a unique learning environment where they can regain their confidence while filling in the gaps in their knowledge of mathematics.
This program will target main topics in the Ontario Curriculum leading up to grade 8 and 9 and is not meant as a enrichment of the 8/9 curriculum. The course may also be taken to review for Grade 9 math EQAO.
This program is not for credit and while students are provided with a certificate of completion there is no official transcript for this course.
The next set of classes will be offered on the following dates:
- March break (March 11 -15, 2019), 9am - 4pm daily
- Two weeks of August, 2019, August 6-9 and 12-16, 10am - 2pm daily
- Saturday Help Sessions - Starting in October, 2 pm to 4 pm, Cost is $160 for the program
